Your passwords. Fully local. Yours alone.
PearPass is a local-first password manager with no central vault. Your credentials are encrypted on your device and sync directly between the devices you own over an end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer connection.

Passwords that never leave your control.
A vault that lives on your device
PearPass stores your credentials in a local-first, encrypted vault. There is no central database to breach, because your passwords never touch a company's servers.
Sync across your devices, peer-to-peer
Your laptop and your phone sync directly over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection using Autobase. You add a device, not an account.
No central vault, no master server
Built on Hypercore and SecretStream, PearPass has no backend to trust. You hold the only keys, and you alone can unlock your data.
Frequently asked questions
How is my data secured?
Your vault is encrypted on-device with keys derived from your master passphrase. Data is stored locally and only ever leaves your device as an end-to-end encrypted, peer-to-peer sync stream.
How does sync work across my devices?
PearPass uses Autobase to merge changes from each of your devices over an encrypted Hyperswarm connection. There is no central server — your devices talk directly to each other.
What happens if I lose a device?
Because your vault is replicated peer-to-peer across the devices you own, any remaining device still holds your data. Keep your recovery phrase safe — it is the only way to restore a vault from scratch.
Is there a central PearPass account?
No. There is no signup and no server-side account. Your identity is a cryptographic keypair generated and stored on your device.
