Keet

The chat app that knows nothing about you.

Keet is end-to-end encrypted, peer-to-peer messaging, audio, and video. No servers, no accounts, no metadata. Just a direct, private connection between you and the people you talk to.

Keet running on desktop

Private by default. Powerful by design.

Metadata-free messaging

Keet never stores your messages on a server. Conversations are end-to-end encrypted and travel directly between devices, so there is no metadata trail to leak, sell, or subpoena.

Crystal-clear calls and video

Peer-to-peer audio and video with no central relay. Call quality scales with your connection instead of someone else's server load, and nothing is ever recorded in the middle.

Share files of any size

Drag in a 4K video or a 10GB folder. Keet streams it straight from your device to theirs over Hyperdrive, with no upload limits and no cloud middleman.

Frequently asked questions

Does Keet have access to my messages?

No. Keet is fully peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted. There are no Keet servers in the middle, so we never see your messages, your contacts, or any metadata about who you talk to.

Do I need an account or a phone number?

No. Keet identities are cryptographic keys generated on your device. There is no signup, no email, and no phone number — you connect by sharing an invite.

Which platforms does Keet run on?

Keet runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux desktops, plus iOS and Android. The same peer-to-peer experience works across every device.

How do calls and video work without servers?

Keet uses Hyperswarm to discover peers and SecretStream to encrypt the connection, then streams audio and video directly between participants — no relay, no recording, no third party.
